DUBAI WALK TOUR
■ AL BARSHA 1 DISTRICT:
It's a busy residential and retail district where the prestigious Mall of the Emirates, famous for its Ski Dubai artificial ski slope is located. The surrounding streets are packed with global restaurants serving curries, tapas, and seafood, while hotels and high-rise apartment buildings overlooking Sheikh Zayed Road, with its easy metro connections to Media City and Dubai Marina.
■ MALL OF THE EMIRATES:
It's a shopping mall in Dubai developed and owned by Majid Al Futtaim Properties opened in Nov 2005 located at interchange four on Sheikh Zayed Rd. Currently it features more than 630 retail outlets, over 100 restaurants and cafés, 80 luxury stores and 250 flagship stores. Among its anchor stores include: Carrefour hypermarket, Centrepoint, Debenhams, Harvey Nichols, Home Centre, Jashanmal and Marks & Spencer and two international food courts. List of restaurants and cafes include: St. Maxim's, Salmontini, Karam Beirut and Apres and Sezzam, Häagen-Dazs cafe, Omina Baharat, 800 Degrees Nepolitana Pizzeria, Dean & Deluca, Eat Greek Kouzina, Din Tai Fung, Azkadenya, Texas De Brazil & Common Grounds, The Cheesecake Factory American restaurant, Al Halabi Lebanese restaurant, P.F Chang's American Chinese restaurant, Miu Shanghai Tea House and Restaurant and a conveyor belt YO! Sushi. Hotels include: Kempinski Hotel and Sheraton Hotel. List of entertainment facilities include:
a) Ski Dubai - it is a large indoor skiing facility offering snowboarding, ski lessons, children's play area and cafe. The world's largest indoor snow park.
b) VOX Cinemas - it has a 24-screen multiplex cinema, 2 VOX Gold screens including an IMAX with Laser theatre, Vox Kids, 4DX Cinema and Theatre by Rhodes.
c) Magic Planet - it is an indoor family entertainment for children and young adults. It has a ten-pin bowling alley with 12 lanes, pool and billiard tables, 180 amusement machines. Other attractions include a carousel, racing simulators, Jumping Star, soft play and bumper cars, RoboCoaster..a two-person thrill ride unique to the Middle East and XD Dark Ride, 7D adventure with 3D movie graphics and 4D effects including motion, wind and light.
