Yamaha YTR-6445HGS SN# 221053A     Full Malone Conversion YTR 6445H with a YM-HG bell (think Bach 239) SN# 221053A. The Tuning slide on it says C2HL. It was owned by Boyde Hood, Charles Lazarus, then me for 7 years.
Yamaha's first generation "designer series" C Trumpets.   Heavy Gold Brass with what I believe is a Bach 239 style bell.  Bob reeves did an alignment in January 1999
It is a very fine instrument and the very first C trumpet that I have ever bonded with.  As you can imagine to do get to see my fair share of nice horns.  It has a beautiful SILVER MATTE finish with Reeves Alignment.
No Dents Dings or Trauma.  Lazarus had Charlie Melk put a Long style NY Bach look ing receiver on the Existing MC1 pipe.  The MC1 on the is the lead pipe now for the current Yamaha Chicago.
Malone does not sell these leadpipes anymore. You can try and find one used, but good luck, and they are going to be about $4000-500 for the pipe and slide. You can get one from Spada, but it is also very expensive.
It comes with an extra raw brass tuning slide made custom my M/C Drawing.   On the yamaha wesbite you can buy almost all of the parts for the Yamaha Chicago, except the leadpipe and slide.
When people play my Full Malone Conversion they go OMG!  The tone is to die for!

Malone had a large number of things that he used to do to convert trumpets.  Here is the list for a full MALONE conversion:

1) Take apart the entire instrument to reassemble later with out stress.
2) Measure slides and make sure they are at what he thought was the proper length.
3) Anneal the bell, tuning slide and various other parts of the instrument.
Annealing does tend to give the sound a broader pallette of colors and loose a little projection, but...
4) DSE (Dynamic Sound Expansion...a proprietry process that brings some more focus and projection into the sound) the bell.
5) Valve alignment.
6) A Malone leadpipe.
7) A Malone tuning slide.
8) An extended ferrul and adjustable brace on the tale of the bell.
9) Reassemble the horn stress free, putting the braces in a specific location.
10) Whatever little adjustments to the horn that may be required for the player.
