The post of TTE stands for ‘Ticket Travel Examiner’ and is a promotional post within the organizational hierarchy of the Indian Railways. Any candidate who wants to be TTE in Indian railways must first become a Ticket Collector/Ticket Examiner with the Railways. Being one of the largest employer in the world with 1.4 million employees; Indian railways has been structured into different zones and recruitment for respective RRB’s are done separately.
Several Ex-servicemen from armed forces seek to be part of Indian Railways as a TTE. Considering this, the central government has relaxed certain norms and limits for them. According to different RRBs, Ex-servicemen with 15 years of active service in armed forces are considered for norm relaxation.
