Why did you become a teacher? Probably something to do with loving kids and impacting the future generation, right? Well, BONUS, becoming a teacher also means you get to become a professional data keeper, parent liaison, after school activity coordinator, behavior specialist… the list goes on! One of the things that I find many teachers are not prepared for is dealing with parents.
We know parents want the best for their kid, just like you do, but sometimes they can be really difficult to work with and give new teachers a lot of anxiety, especially when a parent is mad! In today’s video, we are talking about how to deal with—and defuse—an angry parent. I’ve got both proactive and reactive tips to help out my fellow teachers.
