Alpine Redoubt, 1945.
A German secret weapons base releases Panzer VIII "Maus" super-heavy tanks and "Karl" artillery platforms under the cover of mountain fog against attacking US troops and vehicles with the aim to thwart and devastate the Western Allied invasion into Germany. In this mission, the Allies will desperately try to use scout aircraft to spot for their artillery but these will crash on the mountainside due to the fog.
