Chennai Rains: Continuous heavy rain has persisted in Chennai and its surrounding areas, causing widespread waterlogging in several locations. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has raised an orange alert for Chennai and its adjacent districts, forecasting heavy rainfall on December 2nd and 3rd. IMD predicts intense rainfall in isolated areas of Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, and Chengalpattu districts over the next 48 hours. Consequently, schools in Chennai have remained closed due to the relentless downpour in the region.
