#KiniNews: Akmal questions PAS after Umno rep joins party; TBH group to bill govt for injuries

[KiniNews] Umno Youth chief Muhamad Akmal Saleh has questioned PAS' move in accepting a suspended Umno lawmaker into their party.

This came after PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan announced that Rembia assemblyperson Muhammad Jailani Khamis, who was on a six-year suspension from Umno, had joined the party.

Akmal questioned where PAS actually stood on the issue of party hopping as they had previously been vocal on the topic.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, the Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement (TBH-ADA) has demanded that Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail compensate its members who were manhandled during an altercation at the Parliament gate yesterday.

The group’s chairperson, Ng Yap Hwa, stated that the compensation sought was for medical treatments and damage to a necklace worn by one of the participants.
