How to treat calf scours Part 1 Miss Pearl doesn't feel well

We discovered yesterday
Our Little Miss Pearl doesn't feel well. Our sweet calf has the scours, ( Bovine diarrhea) so this is day two of treatment. ( We did not do a video of day one)

I believe the cause is her transition from nursing on her Mom .. to adding more hay and grain to her diet.

Whatever the cause, Scours can be deadly in calves due to dehydration and imbalance in the intestinal lining.  So we are treating her as soon as we noticed with electrolytes and probiotics.

I also noticed today that she seemed to be running a temperature so I have added antibiotics ( not something I like to use ... but I realize the value of antibiotics in a critical situation)

We are giving her ReSorb electrolytes, Terramycin antibiotic, and Tomorrow am I will give her Pepto-Bismol.  I am hoping we caught this early enough .. she is still on her feet .. nursing her mom .. and nibbling on her hay.
