Choosing the incorrect size pond
Choosing the incorrect size pond filter can be a very costly mistake. In this video, we show you how easy it is to calculate the correct size pond filter based on your pond volume.
If you do not have the correct filter, you will find yourself constantly cleaning and unblocking your filter which in turn will leave you highly frustrated and disappointed by wasting your hard-earned cash.
Step 1:
Assess how much dirt is already in your pond before investing in a new system. If there is a lot of debris in your pond we would recommend cleaning it first. For moderate amounts of debris, we would recommend maintenance first like netting out.
No filter will be able to handle a pond full of silt/leaves/sediment before you install it. It will constantly block.
