This is a television broadcast of the 1987 Minnesota State Wrestling Championships from the St. Paul Civic Center, aired on public television. This recording contains the original sponsor commercials.
This was a 2-hour broadcast, and although the championship matches ran longer than 2 hours, the broadcast ended at that point. The 185 and Heavyweight matches were not televised.
Since the AA and A matches ran concurrently, coverage was split between the two classes. Not all bouts received coverage.
Included following each weight class are interviews with the various state champions.
