The Bat Colony at Waugh Drive Bridge in Houston, Texas

This is a cool tourist attraction pretty close to downtown Houston. There is a pretty large colony of Mexican free tailed bats living under the Waugh bridge.  The bats will come out just after sunset. Just get close to the viewing platform and enjoy the spectacle when up to 200,000 bats are leaving the bridge for the night.
