Our Stainless Steel water keg system always lacked water level indicators and the only way we could tell how much water was left was to lift the keg and see if it was empty. Further, we could tell how much we had bu only connecting one keg at a time, but that is a nuisance too because it would inevitably run out just before my morning coffee, and then I'd need to go tap another keg.

Some months ago I installed stainless steel floats in the lid of one of the kegs and made little jumpers to allow the kegs to be connected in series which allows us to use all the water without needing to disconnect and reconnect the kegs.

In this video, I show you how I implemented 2 flow meters and 2 float switches to give us +/- 1% resolution of exactly how much water we are using and how much remains.
