*The Jubilee Line: A Driver's Eye View*

Welcome to my special documentary series on the Jubilee Line, initially known as the Fleet Line!

This 22-mile underground tube line spans from Stanmore in the northwestern suburbs of London (Harrow) to Stratford in the inner East London (Newham).

Opening in stages, the line first launched on 1st May 1979 from Stanmore, the former terminus of the Bakerloo Line, down south to Baker Street, extending to Charing Cross before this section closed in November 1999 when the Jubilee Line extension to Stratford opened.

Starting at the former terminus of both the Bakerloo and Metropolitan lines, the Jubilee Line runs through the rural areas of North West London towards Wembley Park.

Here, it shares the route with the Metropolitan Line up to Finchley Road, then goes underground via Baker Street, through Green Park, and extends east towards Stratford via Waterloo, Canary Wharf, and North Greenwich.

With the Jubilee Line being my favourite tube line in the underground network, this driver's eye view is a special one. I explain the history of the line from a driver's perspective, as well as a passenger's and myself as a trainspotter, with me being on camera and narrating the whole adventure story.

This driver's eye view will be split into six episodes, with each episode uploaded weekly on Thursdays at 5.30 pm. The filming and editing took longer than expected, starting in October and ending in early June.
