The M1128 Mobile Gun System (MGS) is an eight-wheeled armored vehicle of the Stryker armored fighting vehicle family based on the Canadian LAV III light armored vehicle built by General Dynamics Land Systems for the US Army and equipped with a 105mm tank gun.
The MGS project emerged after the cancellation in 1996 of the Army's M8 armored gun system, which was planned to replace the M551 Sheridan light tank.
