Sri Veeragandham Venkata Subbarao is known to most of the Telugu speaking people. He is a Telugu Harikatha Artist who has risen from a poor background to exponent of this wonderful art of telugu culture. Doordarshan, Hyderabad has interviewd him to record his life journey, experiences, art of harikatha and his personal life. Sri A B Anand from Doordarshan, Hyderabad Center has conducted this interview on April 15 1998. The whole interview is about 6 hours which is divided into 6 parts, each of 1 hour duration. This is the first part.
