easy CANDIED YAMS | recipe

4 yams or sweet potatoes
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
juice of a lemon about 2 tbsp
1 stick butter use half to begin and half to end
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp clove
1/2 tsp nutmeg
