Garlic Confit is simply the easiest and tastiest garlic preparation of all time. This garlic is loaded with a rich, deep flavor. This will become a staple in your fridge for every recipe! To "confit" something in French means "to cook in its own fat." Usually, duck is cooked low and slow in duck fat, creating Duck Confit! However, for fish, vegetables, or fruits that don't have their own fat, this technique of covering them in a fat and slowly poaching applies!

Garlic Confit Recipe

Ingredients
As much as you like - Fresh peeled Garlic
Enough to cover completely - Olive Oil, or any oil you like!
Optional - Spices, Herbs, Zest, Olives, any other Vegetables or Aromatics your Heart Desires!

Procedure
1. Peel Garlic remove all paper.
2. Cut off root ends
3. Cover garlic cloves completely in oil or fat of your choice.
4. Cook over Med-Low to Low heat, for about 2 hours until golden brown tender and delicious! (save all garlic infused fat for other uses)
