In Egypt, a new administrative capital is being built in the middle of the desert, about 28 miles away from Cairo. You might think that the Egyptian government embarked on this ambitious multi-billion dollar project for some compelling needs: to lighten the load on the real estate market in the old capital, to reduce pollution and traffic congestion.
