How to calculate charge for ions | Find charge using periodic table - Dr K

This video will go through how to calculate charge for ions, specifically monoatomic ions, meaning ions consisting of only 1 atom. We will go through a simple trick to determine charge of ion, both anion and cation.  
There's a super easy trick to determine the charge of positive ion (cation) for metals in the main group as well as a simple trick to determine the charge of negative ion (anion) for metalloids and nonmetals. We will find charge using periodic table.
