Gary Fong shows button-by-button how to activate Nikon's HSS High Speed Sync (Nikon calls it "Auto-FP") mode. Being able to turn the sync higher than 1/250 of a second helps to have more control in darkening the relative luminosity of the background, especially in fairly brightly lit conditions.
