In this video we teach you how to connect Simplisafe to Alexa so that you can arm your Simplisafe system with Alexa voice commands. Once you connect Alexa to Simplisafe you can use Alexa to Arm the system or ask the current status with Alexa.
The Alexa voice commands will work with most Alexa devices like the Echo Show, Echo Dot, Echo and most devices that have Alexa speakers and microphones built in as long as they are connected to the Alexa app.
To Connect Simplisafe To Alexa:
1. You will need to have your Simplisafe system setup and installed. You will also need to be signed up for the premium professional monitoring that allows you to have app control and access of the Simplisafe system. You will also need to have your Alexa device setup and installed on the Alexa app.
2. Go to the Alexa app and click on the menu in the lower right hand corner. Choose "Skills and Games" Option.
3. Then search for the Simplisafe in the search bar by clicking on the magnifying glass.
4. Select the Simplisafe icon on and click enable.
5. Enter your Simplisafe Username and Password and click login. Your Simplisafe Alarm system will then be connected to Alexa.
6. You can now control your Simplisafe system by using Alexa commands. Below are sample commands:
"Alexa, ask simplisafe to arm my system in home mode."
"Alexa, tell simplisafe I'm leaving."
"Alexa, tell simplisafe good night."
"Alexa, ask simplisafe to arm my system in away mode."
"Alexa, tell simplisafe I'm going out."
"Alexa, tell simplisafe to turn on."
"Alexa, ask simplisafe if I am protected."
"Alexa, ask simplisafe what's shaking."
