Creating a custom component from scratch in Multisim and Ultiboard

I am creating a circuit requiring a dual USB connector and a 9V battery holder.  Since neither of them are in the Multisim/Ultiboard database, I had to create them from scratch.

I found several tutorials on how to modify a component, or use a fairly standard footprint.  However, the USB connector footprint has odd spacing, so I wanted to create a tutorial showing how to create a component completely from scratch.
