Ijuba Egungun means honouring and
Ijuba Egungun means honouring and paying homage to Ancestors.
It is with great pleasure that our Organisation, Egbe Omo Oni Isese Traditional African Association brings to you this offering of ancestral veneration.
This docufilm features the pulsating rhythms and 'Kere' Songs handed down to us by our Elders. It begins with a dialogue that showcases the need for this type of veneration at this time. We also saw it fit to create a mosaic of pictures of National Ancestors as well as prominent ancestors of the Ifa-Orisa Community of Trinidad and Tobago. You can also be sure to see an Ancestral Ritual being done in real-time by our membership and the children of Ile Osayin based in Moruga (South) Trinidad.
With knowledge of Isese, we know that we are all called differently. We encourage everyone to remember and honour their Ancestors. For those of you who are already acquainted with Ancestral Veneration, we ask that you continue to remember and honour them. Do enjoy!
