➡️ Print Payroll Summary

Go up to “Reports”
“Employees & Payroll”
“Payroll Summary”
Choose “Dates”
Go up to “Print”
“Report”
“Print Reports” screen will show
Under “Settings” tab, adjust the settings you want
Click “OK”


➡️ Print Payroll Liability Balances

Go up to “Reports”
“Employees & Payroll”
“Payroll Liability Balances”
Choose “Dates”
Go up to “Print”
“Report”
“Print Reports” screen will show
Under “Settings” tab, adjust the settings you want
Click “OK”


➡️ What to Highlight in Payroll Summary?

First color highlighter

Federal Withholding
Medicare Employee
Social Security
Medicare Company
Social Security Company


2nd color highlighter

CA – Withholding
CA – Disability Employee
CA – Unemployment Company
CA – Unemployment Training Tax


➡️ Processing Payments in QuickBooks

In the home screen, “Pay Liabilities”
“Create Custom Payments”
“Select Date Range For Liabilities” screen pop up will show
“Dates”
Click “OK”
Choose “Check Date”
Checkmark which taxes you want to pay
Checkmark “To be Printed” –  if you want to print it
Click “Create”
Then it takes you to the checking account
Check if they are under “Payroll Liabilities” Tab, unless it’s a penalty. Penalty will be under “Expenses Tab”
Click “Save & Close”


➡️ Processing Payments in EFTPS Website

Login
Enter Tax Form Number
Select a Tax Form
Most Common Forms
All forms in Numeric order
Click “Next”
Choose your “Tax Type Selection”
Click “Next”
“Business Tax Payment”
“Payment Amount”
“Tax Period” (Qtr/Year your paying)
“Settlement Date”
Click “Next”
“Subcategory amounts”
“Social Security”
“Medicare”
“Tax Withholding”
Click “Next”
Verify all information
Click “Make Payment”
Print or Save as a PDF


➡️ EDD Website (State of California)

Login
Go down and click “Employment Tax”
Select the timeframe that you want
Click “Make a payment”
Choose “Payment Method”
Add “Amount”
“Confirm Amount”
Go down to “Schedule and Pay Date”
“Deposit Schedule”
“Pay Date”
“Deposit Amounts”
“Unemployment Insurance”
“Employment Training Tax”
“State Disability Insurance”
‘“Personal Income Tax”
“Plus”
“Penalty”
“Interest”
Click “Submit”
Click “OK” to confirm
Click “Print”
After printing, click “OK”
“Logout”
