APPLE POWER MAC G5 / HACKINTOSH MOD - 5V FAN SPEED TEST

Its my first take on a Hackintosh mod and learning all the little secrets, that apple has made in their components. Even a simple thing as a fan was a challenge to figure out how to wire up correctly to a standard PSU.

Used the quick disconnect adapter and put it on a pin set cut of from a old motherboard to test it out. If you want to set your fans to be quite you have to put them on 5V and here is the pin out for this:

looking on the quick disconnect adapter, being sticker side up:

1. 5V
2. Empty
3.Ground
4. 12V
5. 5V ( you can cross connect the 5 and 1 pin)
