Last year, at the 2022 IPF World Junior championships, Tunisia’s Fares positioned at fourth place, behind the Junior champion, France’s Corentin Clement, whom most recently competed at the World Classic championships in Malta; including silver medalist, Anthony McNaughton and bronze medalist, Spain’s Antonio Barros. Considering that Corentin will not be competing at the junior championships, such may in fact increase the probability in Fares, possibly medalling, that’s if his unverifiable total, as stated earlier, of 857.5kg is seriously noted, as such reflects a one year progression of 8.75%, which isn’t unusual per se, especially within the athlete’s early competition phase, whether his total of 788.5kg reflects the athlete’s true potential, at current, is left for discussion.
