Do you know about the mysterious bird on the Karnataka state official flag? This is Gandaberunda, a two-headed bird in Hinduism. It appears in various Hindu scriptures and is believed to be a manifestation of God Vishnu's Narasimha avatar. You can see Gandaberunda in many Indian artworks and temples. For example, in the Chennakeshava Temple in Belur, a Gandaberunda sculpture can be seen slaying a Sharabha. Additionally, it appears in Trichy's Srirangam Temple and on the ceiling of Rameshwara Temple in Keladi.  Gandaberunda is used as the official emblem of the Karnataka state government. and is believed to represent strength against the forces of destruction. You can see it on bus stations and tickets in Karnataka. The first coins with Gandaberunda were made when Achyuta Deva Raya was the ruler. The Indian Navy ship called INS Mysuru also has Gandaberunda on it.
