One of the most effective modes of training is on the job training or OJT two of the most important phases of virtually all Oh JT programs are implementation and evaluation.Implementation involves carrying out the training program as it was planned and evaluation involves determining whether the goals of the training program have been met on-the-job training is an effective way to teach a trainee how to do a job however for this type of training to work well the instructor must be capable and qualified in this part of the program will examine the qualities and characteristics of a good Oh JT instructor probably the most important characteristics are knowledge of the job and the ability to communicate that knowledge will when instructing a trainee you'll need to explain technical and sometimes complex information in simple understandableBefore they can do their jobs effectively operators must be properly trained many plants have their own training departments to meet most of their training needs some of the training may take place in a classroom and be led by a training specialist but training may also be conducted at the job site by experienced operators this method of training is on the job training or OJT on-the-job training can be used for just about any job however for the purpose of this program will focus on how it's used to train operators in a plant we'll look at some general techniques and procedures you can use to be an effective OJT instructor OJT is training that is conducted at the jobsite it normally covers skills needed to do a job under the actual conditions encountered in that job during OJT
