The spiritual leader of almost 1.5 million Catholics in the Philadelphia region, Cardinal Justin Francis Rigali was named Archbishop of Philadelphia in 2003 by Pope John Paul II and two weeks after that was created Cardinal by Pope John Paul II. Cardinal Rigali speaks of his time in Rome during the Second Vatican Council, his work as English-language translator for Pope Paul VI, the world figures he met in the course of his diplomatic service, and his personal acquaintance with Popes John Paul I and John Paul II.  His Eminence describes being in the Vatican when Pope John Paul II was shot, and he speaks about how certain men feel called to join the priesthood.
