LOW BUY CHECK IN | HOW TO KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE "ENOUGH"

Hello Beauties, I've got another #LowBuyCheckIn with you for the month of April. To be honest, I kinda (aka: I did) slipped up and spent impulsively in this month. I think the "scared straight" feeling I got at the beginning of the quarantine and shut-downs started to wear off, and I often found myself giving into things like boredom, anxiety, stress shopping and impulse "wanting" following inevitably by buying.

I found I really fell back into old habits and old ways I used to cope with boredom, anxiety, feelings of comparison and cravings. This is alongside still working in the frontline as a healthcare worker in the midst of a pandemic. The new and constant low-grade tension and sense of uneasiness in previously normal, everyday routines has been difficult.

Lately I'm really struggling with what it means to "have enough" and feeling confident and content with my own self, along with everything I have. Sometimes loving and using what you have is harder than I always try to encourage on this channel. I am often very used to "WANTING" and then "GETTING", as opposed to "HAVING" and then "USING". This is a new mindset I'm still exploring. I also realize that I am extremely privileged to even have these problems to dwell on, especially in the current climate we are all collectively experiencing. That fact is not lost on me.

Some thing I did find that helped as I reflected on my choices was TAKING ACTION. I found when I took my own advice and either exercised, made a video, cooked, cleaned, went for a walk, Zoom'ed a friend, or physically played with the things I had, it made me realize how MUCH I really do have in my life, and it made that feeling of wanting and craving subside, while a feeling of abundance and gratitude set in. Not all the time. But oftentimes this really helped.

I'm not mad at myself for what I bought this month, but I am really trying to remove the association I seem to always come back to between "happiness" and "stuff". I want to find what "enough" means for me, and be happy with that "enough-ness".  I'm feeling much better than when I initially filmed this vlog on the weekend of April 18th, but still am looking for that place where I don't need to rationalize  myself out of the guilt I often feel in order to justify every single thing I spend money on. This is taking continuous soul-searching and a deep dive into self-compassion.

How has your #LowBuy gone? How are you doing this month in self-isolation and quarantine? Are you feeling the fatigue? Have you found your feeling of "I have enough" and "I am enough"?

THANK-YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! ❤️
