Today we are reviewing the legendary and very common 4-cylinder diesel engine from Mercedes. The OM646 engine is the base engine for the 2nd generation Sprinter, for the C- (W203) and E-Class (W211). We really wanted to call it impeccable and beautiful, but could not. The fact is that this engine is "sick" with the scratching of crankshaft liners and even deformation of the crankshaft bedplate. The engine in this video did not demonstrate such a problem, but we could not help but talk about it.
