I'm fixing my guest bathtub faucet that has been dripping for a few days now and the fix is simply change out the existing cartridge valve. When I pull out the cartridge, there was NOT any labels on the old cartridge instead there was a number/part number of 12801. Thru research I found that MOEN 1225 is the exact replacement for the 12801 that I pulled out of the old bathtub knob. While I'm at it, I wanted to update the look of the old knob to a turn handle. Following along as I show you how I was able to change the cartridge and handle in this video.
