Our today’s interviewee:
Tytus Węgrzecki (born in 1926 in Lublin) participated in the Warsaw Uprising. He was a witness to the Ochota massacre and rapes committed by the soldiers of the RONA Brigade, Russian allies of the Third Reich. He managed to survive the tragic events in the Ochota District and was then transported to Oranienburg concentration camp by train. In the camp, he was assigned to a unit tasked with preparing the wood fuel. During the winter he contracted influenza and was placed in the infirmary, where he witnessed horrific scenes.
