We performed a durability test on an uncoated V5, without coolant, just to see what we could get out of the tool on our Hass VF-2. We even tried a finish pass after pushing the tool hard through 50 ft of 1018 steel. See video and still for a better look.
This high performance end mill is engineered for exceptional material removal and is sold with AlCrN coating.
