Tutorial video on how to reset Ford SYNC 3 on second generation Ford Edge SUV. You can do a master reset (soft reset) through the vehicle options screen or a hard reset by removing the Ford SYNC fuse and then reinserting. Third thing that helps is updating the Ford SYNC to the latest version for your vehicle  (2015 | 2016 | 2017 | 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | 2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 | SE | SEL | LIMITED | TITANIUM | AWD | 2.0 | 1.5 ).

To do a Soft Reset press Settings on the main dashboard screen and then select General. Scroll down to Master Reset and press it. This will delete all the information from the vehicle and set all settings to default factory settings. Also make sure you don't have any USB or Bluetooth devices connected while doing this.

Hard Reset is done by removing and reinserting Ford SYNC fuse while vehicle is turned off.

If you own 2015 - 2020 Ford Edge you want to remove Fuse #32 (10A) in a small fuse box under the steering wheel.

If you own 2021 - 2024 Ford Edge you want to remove Fuse #15 (10A) in the same fuse box.

If none of this helped you can try updating the Ford SYNC 3 software. Here is my video on how to do it: Ford Edge - HOW TO UPDATE FORD SYNC 3...

If still having problems then scan the vehicle and the sync / radio module for any codes and follow up on those or take the vehicle to a Ford Dealer for diagnostics.

Thanks for watching.
