The song "After You've Gone" is from 1918, with words and music written by Henry Creamer and Turner Layton, respectively. I was first exposed to it in the video game BioShock: Infinite, where a modern vintage style rendition of the song plays at the main menu every time you start up the game. The BioShock series as a whole is one of my all-time favorites, and one of the reasons why I became interested in older music from the first half of the 20th century. What I play here is actually a combination of multiple arrangements. For the first two thirds of the video, I mainly tried to imitate several different performances by Stephanie Trick but also borrowed passages from the version played by Daniel Souvigny in the 2015 Old-Time Piano Playing Contest. Then, starting at 2:08, I did my best impression of the version from BioShock: Infinite, which was sung by Jessy Carolina with Scott Bradlee from Postmodern Jukebox on the piano. This song is special to me, so I hope I did it justice. 🎼 Sheet music available to download here: www.mediafire.com/file/ckjm0nbue8swofq/Creamer_and… I offer most of my sheet music for free, but if you enjoy my performances and sheet music, tips are always welcome and appreciated: paypal.me/AlexCPian
