Thailand's Pygmy Hippo Moo Deng Becomes Internet Sensation | Vantage With Palki Sharma

With its rose-pink cheeks and attractive charisma, two-month-old pygmy hippo Moo Deng residing in Thailand's Khao Kheow Open Zoo is breaking the internet. Moo Deng, which roughly translates to “bouncy pig”, was put on display for public viewing on June 25. Soon after, it captivated thousands of viewers who started making videos with it. Some of them even started fan pages. The credit behind making this pig viral goes to Attapon Nundee, a zookeeper. He started sharing videos of all the animals he was appointed to look after during the COVID-19 pandemic. Deng's video in particular went viral turning it into both online and offline sensation. Though, there are increasing instances of tourists misbehaving with the creature in an attempt to make a video with it, prompting the zoo officials to strengthen the security around it.
