One-step Overjet reduction: orthodontic lecture about funcional appliance and braces

Literature suggest protruding upper incisors should be retracted as soon as possible to avoid a greater risk of trauma. In this orthodontic lecture we will see how a dental functional appliance, the twin block, can retract the upper incisors while activating the mandible. In orthodontic school, after orthodontic diagnosis, I was thaught to use two different appliances to do that, and then dental braces. But after seeing how effecting that is, I use that.
