Relive the Paris 1924 Olympic Games as tandem cycling made an appearance on the sporting schedule in these classic highlights.
Track cycling events have been organised at all the editions of the Games since 1896, with the exception of the 1912 Games in Stockholm, when only the road race was staged.
Between Antwerp 1920 and Munich 1972, the track cycling events included tandem cycling. The tandem event had two athletes representing each team, on a bicycle designed for two riders simultaneously.
At the Paris 1924 Olympic Games, the tandem competition was won by the French team comprised by Lucien Choury and Jean Cugnot. Denmark (Willy Falck Hansen and Edmund Hansen) and the Netherlands (Mauritius Peeters and Gerald Henri Bosch van Drakestein) took silver and bronze, respectively.
