Jongnic Bontemps' score for the new entry in the Transformers franchise was a welcome surprise in how it perfectly continued with Steve Jablonksy's style from Michael Bay's movies, even retaining some of his themes, but also offering some of his own new ideas. The material for the villains of the story is comprised by a memorable and terrifying screeching sound motif for Scourge and the Terrorcons, with an ominous motif also associated with them, both ideas heard extensively in the suite.

But the best part about it is the return of Vince DiCola's theme for Unicron from The Transformers: The Movie, from 1986. He brings back the ominous synths and the main theme for the planet-eating villain, and in this suite you can hear it at full force at 0:40 and 3:27. It's a great way of uniting old and new, and it really shows Bontemps' skills as a composer!

0:00 The Cave + A Long Time Ago
0:40 Unicron / Scourge
2:07 Switchback Chase + Unicron / Scourge
2:20 Battle at Ellis Island
2:57 Unicron / Scourge
3:12 Unicron Approaches
