The Stephenson Railway Museum is located in North Shields in the North East of England, UK. It is a working steam museum dedicated to George and Robert Stephenson, pioneers of the early steam railway development. In addition to the museum exhibits visitors can take a four mile return trip (35-40 minutes) following the route of the coal trains from the collieries to the River Tyne behind a vintage locomotive in our 1950s passenger carriages.
