The bad batch season 3 teaser trailer is here and we need to break it down. So let’s get straight into it. The trailer starts with the bad batch having hijacked a HVw A6 Juggernaut or also known as a turbo tank. And if we slow down the footage we can see that they seem to have broken past some sort of check point on the bridge. We see a few LAATs chasing the team before Phee Genoa swoops in to save the day. You can bet that the scenes we saw here are likely to be part of the first episode, as the majority of these trailers often consists of the first episode. We see a freighter make its way to coruscant and one of the many battle stations that orbit it, and we then get to see Captain Rex. Rex talks about how he thought the end of the clone wars would mean the end to losing more of his brothers and we get a quick look at this. And this is likely one of the many Bomarr monasteries located on the jungle planet of Teth. The Bomarr was a rel;igious order that believed in relieving themselves of physical sensations and so we often see their brains in bottles attached to spider droids walking around Jabba’ palace. But what’s more iconic about this particular scene is that Teth is actually the location of one of the first missions Anakin and Ahsoka had during the clone wars. Where the two were tasked with rescuing Jabba the Hutt’s son after he was kidnapped by Asajj Ventress. And although its likely not the same temple, it is still an interesting call back. We then see a crashed republic attack shuttle, but I’m not too sure where this one is located. But what is interesting is that we see two figures and a dog of some sort walking away from the wreckage.

We can flashbacks to Tech’s death and we then cut to stormtroopers marching through the streets as civilians run in panic. The background also appears to show a street market of some sort, likely a new planet we have yet to visit. We then get to see Omega whose hairstyle has changed a little but in the subsequent scene we see her hair back to its usual self. Which leads me to conclude that this scene must have taken place after this one. Which would make sense as Omega appears to be surprised to see crosshair in the second scene. Crosshair himself looks dejected, likely due to the experiments he has been subjected to by Dr Hemlock. We also get a brief look at scorch in the background as well. Omega gets scanned as she is looked on by her sister, a revelation which we found out at the end of season 2. Hunter then says omega has been waiting for a long time, indicating that a good amount of time has passed since season 2 and we get a look at Emperor palpatine flanked by two royal guards and followed by hemlock, scorch, and Taun We. Palpatine talks about the future of his empire, likely referring to Hemlock’s experiments on the clones. And we get a hint at what this could be with the next shot of another Clone X, this one is called CX 1. In the previous season we saw this type of clone during senator chuchi’s assassination attempt, and these clones have been conditioned to the point that they are fully loyal to the empire. And unlike regular clones there’s not much morality behind them. Now as we know the previous one ended his own life, and so to see another one here would suggest that one of the projects Hemlock might be working on is full mind control of clones in an attempt to make them fully loyal to the empire. Given that this one is called CX 1, it does lend to the idea that this is still a blossoming project. A project for a much stronger and longer lasting form of control then what the inhibitor chips could have previously managed.

We then see some laser turrets fire on a fleeing republic attack shuttle which could be the same one we saw crashed earlier. We then get to see Fennec shand and cad bane, both of which did make an appearance in season 1. We get another ominous shot of CX 1 before we cut to commander Wolffe. And as we know from Rebels, Wolffe will also be defecting at some point. So I'm definitely looking forward to that. We get a brief glimpse of Fireball or Nemec wielding a flame thrower, both were previously introduced in season 2 and not much else is known after that. We then see Omega piloting a crashing ship which could be the escaping and crashed attack shuttle we saw in previous scenes. If this is indeed the case, then we could be seeing omega making an escape much earlier before the bad batch come and rescue her...
