Another way to check if your ps3 is compatible to cfw is to check the model number. cech 25xx and below specially all fat model are compatible, all 3k model and up specially superslim are not yet compatible, you may install hen on those model. But there are some 25xx model that have a higher minimum version than allowed, this is where this method become relevant. Even if its a slim model with 25xx model but has a minimum version of higher than 3.56, then its not cfw compatible.
