Interview Tips: Why your answers don't matter. I know- I’ve spent so many videos educating you on how to strategically answer interview questions, but today we are going to talk about the other side of things- how your answers truly don’t matter and why that is.

There’s been plenty of articles written and research done on the fact that interviewers often hire based more on how they feel about you rather than what you say .
Recruiters and hiring managers are looking for people who want to be there, not just people who are giving the “right” answers. They want someone who seems likable and that they’d want to spend 70% of their waking hours with. So how do you become that person- it’s all in your non-verbal communication.
You need to make a great first impression- this includes smiling, a strong handshake, being dressed and groomed appropriately, and not looking at your phone when they come out to get you in the lobby!
Then, during the interview, make sure you are yourself, but yourself on a really good day!
All these things are nonverbal cues of enthusiasm, and everyone wants someone at their company who wants to be there!
So, the more likable you can be through your non-verbal cues, the more likely they are to hire you even if your answers aren’t the greatest.
