2023 Porsche 963 LMDh Prototype Unveiled at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022!

At the very end of
At the very end of the second day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Porsche unveiled the livery and the name of their LMDh weapon. The car was named '963' and it has been developed under the "Le Mans Daytona h" regulations which allows it to be fielded alongside Le Mans Hypercar entries in the Hypercar class of the FIA WEC or in the GTP class of the IMSA SportsCar Championship from 2023.
Compared to Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) rule set, in which there's much more freedom in designing the car, LMDh teams are forced to rely on one of the 4 chassis manufacturers chosen by ACO and IMSA (Dallara, Ligier, Multimatic and Oreca) in order to have a base from which to build their own vehicle. And Porsche opted for the Canadian firm Multimatic for their 963.
The Porsche 963 is powered by a 4.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which traces its roots to the 918 Spyder. Together with the mandatory spec 50hp hybrid system, the 963 power output is of 670hp, just a touch under the maximum allowed for the class.
Obviously this wasn't the ideal environment in which I would have liked to record this machine for the first time. And what's more, it hasn't even been driven on the hillclimb during both two remaining days of event but just on Saturday so my friends and I didn't manage to get much footage. Really hope to see it in action during a proper test day on track sooner or later in the future!
