'Boat Crashes Into Bridge Causing Deadly Collapse in China'
Two people were killed and three others are missing after a cargo ship hit the Lixinsha Bridge in China.
The empty cargo ship struck the bridge in southern China on Thursday, causing part of it to collapse.
The collision sent five vehicles tumbling off the bridge; two vehicles plunged into the water and the others fell into the cargo vessel.
The accident killed at least two people, and injured one other.
The crash happened at 5.30am on Thursday morning. Three people have been reported missing.
Emergency services remain on-site.
Helicopters and sonar equipped boats assisted search operations while the ship was towed away from the crash site.
Planned work on the bridge due to structural concerns had apparently been postponed repeatedly in recent years.
