剧情缘起于18年前的台湾，追溯初恋的旅行从此开始，高中生Jimmy（许光汉饰演）打工的地方出现了一位大他四岁、从日本来的背包客女孩Ami（清原果耶饰演）。两人夏天一起打工，渐渐地Jimmy对Ami萌生纯纯的爱意。就在距离越来越近的时候，Ami突然要回日本。看着难以接受的Jimmy，Ami提出了「某个约定」。时光飞逝，Jimmy回到久未进门的老家，在房间内找到18年前Ami从日本寄来的明信片。初恋的记忆涌上心头，决定展开第一次在日本的单人旅行。 Jimmy听着和Ami有共通回忆的歌曲，坐火车前往她的故乡。究竟Jimmy和Ami能够再次相遇吗？
