A compilation of the greatest hockey calls done by Chris Cuthbert.
Chris Cuthbert started his career in 1984 doing play-by-play for Western Hockey games CBC. He became the secondary play-by-play in 1993 calling the games in which Bob Cole wasn't calling already.
Cuthbert left CBC in 2004 following a dispute between him and Bell Media. He joined TSN as a result to become their lead play-by-play calling Maple Leafs and Senators games when scheduled or other HNIC games. After Rogers acquired the rights to HNIC, he was forced to only do regional games for the Maple Leafs and Senators.
He joined the NHL on NBC in 2005 and was given a full-time position in 2015. During the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, CBC and Sportsnet asked Chris Cuthbert to rejoin HNIC as their #2 play-by-play. He called all games in Edmonton during the first and second rounds of the 2020 playoffs. The following season he was given an expanded role with Jim Hughson opting to do select home games for the Vancouver Canucks. He became the official #1 play-by-play for HNIC and Sportsnet when Jim Hughson announced his retirement in 2021.
