You'll need your whole squad
You'll need your whole squad alive for the final boss fight, except Gruuul. However you'll need him along the way so he can protect you from fire damage with the resistance aura. This comp is nuts and is perfect for farming Rend Blackhand on heroic mode. You'll also need to get the following bonuses from the dungeon and as equipment:
Ragnaros with Blazing Rune
Baron Geddon with Mark of Conflagration (Elementary Studies 3 on both Geddon and Antonidas)
Antonidas with Cindercore Staff (Elementary Studies 3 on both Antonidas and Geddon)
Cairne Bloodhoof with Reincarnation
Gruul with Fire Resistance
Diablo with Black Soulstone (Infernal Combustion 3 - probably the most important dungeon buff)
You open the game with Ragnaros, Baron Geddon, and Antonidas. The fastest damage opener is Antonidas’ Fireball, Ragnaros’ Magma Blast, and Baron Geddon’s Inferno. This opener can often instantly kill one of the opponent’s Mercenaries.
Later in the game, you can bring in the Cairne/Diablo duo to get a fast and deadly Fire Stomp, and Gruul can be used through the entire dungeon to protect you from the fire damage.
