Full professional grade self served in ear monitoring setup with added info about long range floor control for Kemper using PoE injectors.

This is an expensive build designed to last and will be fully functional even with the growth of the band to bigger levels.

Worth noting as an add-on as the x32 rack is a full console you can control via phone, ipad or laptop but you could also AES50 this to a stand alone additional x32 or wing or midas m32 and have a monitor engineer controlling IEM mixes.

Another thing worth a mention is that if you were using just IEM and no wedges on stage you could also run FOH from this setup via ipad or AES50 but whist the mix could differ the eq / comp and effects would have to be the same.

We are utilising 4 effects on 4 of the bus mixes so we only have 4 remaining outputs we so currently run wedges from the dedicated monitor desk or the FOH position.

Here is a full detailed description of how things work:

The splitter takes the signal from all mics and lines on stage

These are all split and we take a copy of all
Signals and give a split back to the FOH engineer.

The signals can then be processed by us in our X32 mixer and we can have the exact sound we like.

After eq, comps & gating each line is routed into bus mixes which are mixed to each members taste allowing us all to have individual mixes that differ from each others.

Vocals are also routed through 4 fx busses that allows each member to adjust a reverb on their individual vocal for their own mix bus.

The 8 channels (4 stereo mixes) are then patched bt a 8 XLR loom to the back of the IEM rack and feed the PSM900 kits, these then feed the PA421A antenna combiner.

Without an antenna combiner each individual wireless kit would need to be roughly 6 feet away from each-other to prevent intermodulation distortion of the wireless frequencies so this is very important when having multiple racked wireless kits.

The Cymatic Utrack 24 can be preloaded with 24 mono audio tracks that will all play simultaneously with the press of a button allowing each tack to be mixed by us or the FOH as an individual instrument thus giving total control over a backing track that contains multiple instruments / voices that otherwise could get buried in the mix. We are only using this for 2 stereo tacks and a mono click track.

The nowsonic stage router allows us to connect via wifi to the Cymatic and X32 racks and control mix bus parameters and playback with ease from an iphone or tablet.

The Kempers are included in this video to shed light on the need for a PoE (power over ethernet) Injector the power the Kemper floor remote if the kemper and remote are over distances of 10 meters apart (or cable length exceeds 10m) this is something overlooked when building rigs that sit side stage or even off stage.
